MUDmeet, April 2000 Hat
This was another well-attended meet organised by Jincks who turned up 2 hours late herself (traffic problems this time). It started at 2:00pm, although some people had arrived the day before and got together that evening (as often happens).

I arrived with Cat and Umbrarg at just after 2:00, and stayed until about 6:15. The meet carried on for several hours after that, while I was being herded about by the police at Euston who believed that I and the rest of the passengers on the train were dangerous Brighton football fans returning from an away match at Shrewsbury (the Brighton supporters were on the train, but they weren't at all dangerous until the police wouldn't let them get off the platform).

I managed to persuade everyone present at the meet to let me take their photograph, which is unusual - I usually have some refusals. The fact that my pictures are generally so bad that no-one in them looks remotely like they do in real life probably had a lot to do with it. There is the usual assortment of people with red eye, people with closed eyes, people out of focus and scans with mysterious green lines on them.
