New media – especially the Internet – are of great importance for all areas of psychology. As a tool of communication and information, the Internet is essential for our working environment. Numerous areas of psychology are researching the impact of new media on users. Furthermore, modern technology opens a new perspective on traditional psychological research methods.
The book series “Internet and Psychology: New Media in Psychology” provides a forum to discuss research and use of new media through psychology. Its focus is not technical but rather on new technology’s relevance for empirical psychological research. The series presents areas of application for the Internet and new media from the perspective of various psychological disciplines and theories.
