Terms of Registration and Payment

  • The registration of participation is binding.
  • Should the participant be a natural person who enters into a legal transaction for a purpose that is outside his trade, business or profession (consumer), he enjoys a right of revocation according to § 312d in conjunction with § 355 German Civil Code (Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch).

Right of revocation

You may declare the revocation of your contractual statement in text form (e.g. letter, email) within a period of 14 days. The revocation does not have to contain any grounds. The revocation period is effective as upon receipt of this instruction, but not before conclusion of contract or before we comply with our obligation to inform you according to section 246 § 2 in combination with § 1 paragraph 1 and 2 EGBGB Introductory Act to the German civil code (Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch). In order to comply with the revocation period, it is sufficient to send the withdrawal. Send the withdrawal to the EAWOP 2013 congress registration office:

Consequences of revocation

In case of a valid revocation, all mutually received performances as well as emoluments taken (e.g. interest), if applicable, are to be restituted by either side. If you are unable or partially unable to restitute the merchandise to us or can only restitute it in a deteriorated condition, then you have to insofar compensate for its value where applicable. You may have to fulfill you contractual obligations up to the date of revocation. Reimbursement obligations must be fulfilled within 30 days of the declaration of revocation. The 30 day period starts with sending the revocation on your part and with reception of the revocation on our part.

 

Additional notes

Your right of revocation expires prematurely in case both parties agree that the contract is fulfilled sufficiently before you have executed your right of revocation.

End of instruction concerning revocation

 

  • Without prejudice to the aforementioned right of revocation, you may cancel your registration until March 1st 2013 getting a 50% refund. In all other cases, the financial responsibilities of the participants remain fully effective.
  • The participation fees are owed upon registration and are payable within 14 days following submission of the registration (but not later than 7 days before the starting day of the event).
  • Participation is not guaranteed until full payment of the registration fee is received.
  • The conference program may be subject to changes.
  • Payments will be refunded if the conference will be canceled by the organizer. In that case, the organizer will have no further liability to the client. Registrations remain valid if the conference has to be postponed.
  • This Agreement shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, except for its choice of law provisions.
